SHADE TOLERANT

Trying to grow grass in shady areas is difficult especially if you have to deal with tree roots! Choosing the right sod is very important and we usually do not recommend any grass that receives less than 2-3 hours of sunlight per day. However, with the right type of grass, you can have grass grow and be successful in shaded areas! Whether you want to improve a shady backyard or make a peaceful spot under thick trees, picking the correct shade-tolerant grass and yearly treatments to prevent fungus and insects is key to creating a lush lawn that thrives without much sunlight.
